So here at The Outnumbered Nest, it is as crazy messy place
of business as usual. You wouldn’t think one person could be so busy, but yet
here I am.
My grandmother is doing very well in her recovery of her
second broke leg. She is now officially off a walker and mostly off a cane. She
still has her bad days, but thankfully she is starting to become her old self
again.
Monkey man is fixing to start his second year of Pre-K
again. In case you are reading this and wondering whoa wait…shouldn’t he be
going to Kindergarten well we have decided to keep him back one more year. He
is so young. Seriously. He turned 5 in May and there were many in his Pre-K
last year that turned 6 in July. So he is almost a full year behind most of
those who were in his class. His test scores where fantastic, be on the look
out for a post about how crazy I think it is that Pre-K has test, but anyhow.
We decided to keep him back strictly on a maturity basis and think it will
benefit him greatly. I can already tell he is going to be so much more
interested in school this year then he was last year, which is great for this
anxiety ridden momma. The main difference this year is going to be that he is
going to be going full day instead of just half a day as last year. That’s right
he will be gone from 8-2:40. Woah! What will I do with just one kid during that
time? I have no idea! It will be a great big adjustment to both of us.
Buggy is great, chubby and running around like a happy
little person. He’ll be turning 19 months soon and boy oh boy can I tell you
how much I already miss the “baby” stage! He’s running and talking and just
growing up. It makes my heart so happy, and yet so sad at the same time. I have
noticed one thing about him though- he will be my ER child. Seriously, Monkey
never had so many “accidents” as his younger brother has. Buggy climbs where he
isn’t supposed to, runs down hills and falls, and just who knows what else! But
I’m so thankful for him in my life.
Prayers are needed for my mother. She was in the hospital
this week with complications with her heart. I’m unsure and unclear at this
time as to what the problems are…but I’ll be honest there isn’t any “good”
heart problems. So prayers while we figure out what is going on there, please?
We’ve had a lot of fun this summer. With a zoo trip, museum
trip, Discovering Dinosaurs, and lake trips I would say that this has been a
very successful summer!
Oh, and on August 7th, B and me will celebrate 2
years together of marriage! Yay! So keep the lookout for a super mushy post
about that I’m sure soon!
What was your favorite things you have done this summer with
your family?

Sounds like lots of fun! We had a really fun trip to Ottawa, Canada- that was our best part of the summer (so far) :).
