30 Day Blogging Challenge-Day 4

March 4, 2016

I hope everyone is waking up this morning in great moods, which who doesn't wake up in great moods on Fridays? Well with it being the last day of the week, I love that day 4 is ending like this. Day four is my five favorite scriptures! So after a couple of hours making these, here are my top five favorite scriptures.

  1. "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you": What is better then knowing that we have someone who cares so much for us that he wants our worries, fears, and any other anxiety on him. He doesn't want us to carry it around alone! This has been one of my favorites for a long time, because I do have anxiety and often feel weighted down by it. Thankfully, I know that the big man upstairs is helping me carry that, all I have to do is ask.

  2. Ecc 4:9-12 will forever hold a very special place in my heart. It was the scripture that was read during our wedding service. Having got lost in the hustle and bustle of the wedding, I had realized me and B had never addressed two issues. 1. Where we going to repeat our vows? 2. I had never asked what scripture the pastor was going to use. I, as most young women getting married, had my heart set on 1 Corinthians 13.  It was the verse I knew of that spoke about the kind of love that I wanted. Boy, was I wrong. When the pastor read these verses at our wedding I was in awe. They were perfect. He explained it perfect. What else am I looking at in a partner other then someone who will help me up, someone that helps keep me warm, and even better an awesome reminder that God should always be apart of a marriage. While 1 Corinthians 13 is still a beautiful chapter, and still one of my favorites- I wouldn't have replaced it for this one. (And for those wondering no we didn't repeat, we were barely able to fumble out "I do" as nervous as we were.)

  3. "He is not here, for He has risen just as he said." I know I know... this picture isn't the best, it's late and I really want to go to bed and snuggle with my honey so it was the last one that I did. Either way it is a phenominal verse! He said he would rise, and he did! For us, he suffered. For us, he died. For us, he rose. For us, it's all for us. Everything he said will come to pass.Just let that sink in for a minute.

  4. "Do not be anxious about anything. But in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God." Yeap... I have another quote about being anxious in top five. I love this one. I even have a ring that has this quote wrote around it. It's beautiful, just another reminder that we shouldn't worry or fear. God is in control, tell him your needs and he will take care of you.

  5. "God is within her, she will not fall." A constant reminder that God isn't beside me, or just hanging on the couch. Oh no, he is closer than that-he is within me. Everyday. Sure I will go through tough times but if I rely on him I won't fall. I won't be. It is because of him that I breathe, I walk, I talk. It is because of him, that I have the many blessings that I do.
